For seven generations, our First Nation has successfully managed our lands, ensuring sustainability for future generations. In this spirit, we proudly introduce the Skeetchestn Dodeca-Home Building System—a home design that is built to last for the next seven generations.
Inspired by the traditional building methods of the Secwepemc First Nations, who have lived in Skeetchestn and the Southern Interior of British Columbia, this modernized version incorporates those timeless principles into a unique 12-sided post-and-beam structure. The system is engineered in three core modules: 600, 1040 & 1490 square feet -designed to be affordable, durable, energy-efficient, and quick to assemble. Perfect for climate-conscious homeowners, the Skeetchestn Dodeca-Homes offers a robust, long-lasting, and sustainable solution for the future.

At Dodeca-Homes, we are proud to design and build our systems right here in Canada, reducing both emissions and transportation costs. Our Basic Modules are crafted from locally sourced Douglas-fir posts and beams, paired with highly efficient Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs).
Our Roundhouse buildings stand out for their energy efficiency, offering significant advantages over conventional rectangular designs. Thanks to the SIPs, which create a virtually airtight building envelope with minimal thermal breaks, our homes maintain superior insulation. Additionally, the Roundhouse design features 25% less wall area compared to floor area, further enhancing its energy-saving potential.
